In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision disorders, and recommending corrective lenses or other treatments. Key Responsibilities

Conduct Comprehensive Eye Examinations:

Perform detailed assessments of patients’ vision, including refraction tests, ocular health examinations, and screening for common eye conditions.

Diagnose Vision Disorders:

Identify refractive errors, amblyopia, strabismus, and other ocular conditions; interpret diagnostic test results and advise on corrective measures.

Prescribe Corrective Solutions:

Recommend appropriate corrective lenses, contact lenses, or low-vision aids based on individual patient needs and clinical findings.

Patient Counseling & Education:

Provide thorough guidance to patients regarding eye health, preventive care, and post-treatment maintenance, ensuring they understand treatment plans and lens care protocols.

Maintain Accurate Records:

Document patient histories, examination results, prescriptions, and follow-up schedules, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and regulatory guidelines.

Collaborate with Ophthalmologists:

Work closely with ophthalmologists and clinical staff to manage patient referrals, follow-up treatments, and specialized eye care interventions.

Stay Updated with Industry Advances:

Engage in continuous professional development and training on the latest optometric practices and technological innovations in ophthalmology.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution.
• 1-5 years of experience in optometric examinations and patient care.
• Proficient in using vision testing equipment and diagnostic instruments.
• Strong understanding of ocular anatomy, optics, and refractive errors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate record-keeping and quality patient care.
